If any of you are going camping this summer, I just want to remind you to take tarps with you - apparently, you can't have too many tarps.
Oh and when you go camping, do your childeren a favour, and leave the matching raincoats at home - I'm just saying...
(photo taken when I was about 9 or 10 years old - I'm second from the right)
Memories....LOL!

Oh, those old pics are gems, aren't they? What were our parents thinking? Actually, we've had many a camping trip, battling torrential rain and mini tornadoes, trying to make sure the kids didn't do a Dorothy and fly away! Ah, happy days! K xx
ReplyDeleteHilarious! That does NOT look like a relaxing vacation to me! Have a great weekend

That's some serious tarpitude. (yes that's a word, as of now anyway) :-)
ReplyDeleteOh those matching bright orange raincoats are priceless!
ReplyDeletethat's hysterical .. it reminds me of so many camping trips when I was a kid ... thanks for the memory.
ReplyDeleteOh hilarious! Love the little guy with the hard hat on!
ReplyDeleteI love it...this is a classic Gracie~especially the VW...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a spread you would see in a magazine today except they would go to great pains to make it look just like that!
Best wishes for a Wonderful Weekend...
Jeanne :)

P.S. The VW so reminds me of my childhood driving around europe in that thing!
Well this one made me laugh out loud!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Feels like where I am right now. Maple Creek has been declared a state of emergency due to rain and the Trans Canada has been closed just west of there.
ReplyDeleteHa! That's hilarious. It totallly looks like something my parents would do! I love all the tarps draped over the campers and vehicles. My husband and I just talked tonight about camping in the Adirondacks this summer . . . but we're tent campers so rain always makes me cringe! I worry I might float away when it gets really bad!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is absolutely dear!
ReplyDeleteHa! Matching raincoats brings back the memories. My younger sister and I are the youngest of eight, 1.5 years apart, but they treated us like twins. We had matching everything {shudder}.
ReplyDeleteWe camped all summer then too, but in a huge two room tent that slept 10 people. Lots and lots of fun memories. Thanks for sharing yours.
That is a glorious photo. I love it...looks like it comes straight out of a magazine, advertising what I'm not sure! But it's fabulous!
