I'm so glad you stopped by my little corner of the blogosphere. My name is Grace Cutmore and I'm the face behind Sense and Simplicity.
Whenever I do one of those design questionnaires to determine my decorating style, it always comes up as 'eclectic'. That would likely be because that is a word that really does describe my tastes and my interests - and this blog.
I've always had an interest in decorating and design. As a child I would make up imaginary families and then design and decorate homes for them. Well the only thing that has changed is that I have a real family now and am decorating our real home. I love to analyze what makes for good decorating and to do projects around the house. When I'm not blogging about decorating and design, I'm writing about what inspires me in terms of travel, food, photography, and even family fun.
Speaking of family - I have three children in their late teens and early 20s and a wonderful husband. Our oldest child Malcolm is married to Chistie, the next is Kate and she's away at University down in Halifax, and then William who just started University in Winnipeg. Oh and we have a sweet little Yorkie named Ruggles. He has only joined the family recently so we are just getting to know each other.

One of the things I love about reading blogs is getting a peak into people's lives in various places around the world. I do my best to share with you what life is like for me living and working as a Speech-Language Pathologist near Toronto, Canada. Not only do we have urban adventures, but we also often go to our cottages and I love to share with you what life is like in the woods of Ontario.
I've been reading blogs for over four years now and am constantly amazed and impressed with the inspiration and talent out there in blogland. I'm proud to be a part of it.
