Is It Wrong to Decorate with Beer Bottles?

Decorating with beer bottles really is a win-win situation.  Hubby is happy to drink the contents and then I soak off the label and put some pussy willows in the empty bottles for the mantel.

Aren't the bottles lovely with the St. Peter's Brewery seal pressed into them.

I love watching pussy willows emerge in the spring.  They seemed just the thing to put out on our mantel right now.

  10. Wow, those beer bottles are really nice ones. They go perfectly with what's already up there on your mantle. Did you pick out the beer brand yourself to get that match?

  19. Not when they look this pretty! I had to chuckle because every time I go to our recycle center I scour the colored glass bin and look for pretty colors of wine bottles..I'm building a bottle tree just outside my office window! Yesterday I found a beautiful blue gin bottle and a great tequila bottle! I love them and have blue bottles, some new and some old all over the house! Great minds work alike huh?

  20. I don't think that's wrong at all - especially when they look great like yours do! But then my opinion may be a bit skewed since I live in the beer capitol of the world! Have a great day - fun post.

  23. I see nothing wrong with it at all. Those bottles look fantastic. Makes me want to drink some beer out of a cool bottle just for the bottle (well mostly for the bottle).

  24. Hi Grace...love the green bottles. They are the perfect size but I have to admit I probably would have never thought of it. Clever you are! I'm a little behind with my emails and comments. I'm trying to catch up. Still can't believe you are going so far away this summer. Clever and brave...~Ann

  26. Absolutely not! I am obsessed with bottles and some of the best one out there have something yummy in them to consume first. I love your mantel! What paint color is on the wall?? I am moving in June and will be painting like a mad woman in the new house.

Your comment on my blog made me laugh so hard this morning. No, I did not shave a rabbit and put its fur in a mason jar! That would be taking Easter to the extreme!! I actually pulled apart Cat Tails (sounds just as morbid) that I found around the lake. They’re like little pieces of silk and have add texture to any display.

Following on my way out! Have a good one.
