This weekend we had a supermoon. Did you have one too? I'm not sure exactly what a supermoon is - it was much bigger than normal, but there was no cape or anything.
We all went to the hill in the nearby park to watch the moon rise. At first I took lots of pictures of the moon disappearing and then reappearing behind some clouds.
Then it struck me how much the dandelion puffs looked like little moons all over the hill and I spent ages taking pictures of puffs and the moon.
Now that's my idea of a fun Saturday evening.

Rita May from the blog May Days won the Sharpie fabric pen giveaway. I've sent out an email and as soon as I get her address the goodies will be in the mail to her. Congratulations!

I didn't even notice the moon this weekend! I wonder if it was visible here. I've seen a giant moon a couple of times. It's surreal!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos! I wanted to get photos of the super moon; however, it was too cloudy in our neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures of the supermoon. Hubby and I watched the moon from the bridge that goes over our lake. It did look beautiful. Gorgeous photos and post.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Love your photo's. I missed it, too cloudy here.
ReplyDeleteYes we went out to see it last night, too! You got some great photos...perfect for a mosaic!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures of the super moon turned out much better than mine. It was brilliant!
ReplyDeleteLoved your super moon shots. We had clouds! Ugh!
ReplyDeleteYou got some magnificent pictures of that moon!! I am a bit jealous because it was so cloudy that we couldn't see it... I am however, very appreciative of your photos...thank you!
ReplyDeleteA great post! Thanks for sharing. I loved your images. Cheers SpecialK XoXo
ReplyDeleteI saw the moon in my Old Ky. Home. I read it is called a Perigee moon. Closer to the earth that usual. Very creative photo of the person with the hands up. Wish I had thought of that.

Hi Grace! You got some fabulous shots of that super moon for sure. Fun! Have a great week...
ReplyDeleteOh I worked and worked at moon pictures for over an hour last night. Nothing worked until I was walking past my kitchen window and decided to take that shot. It didn't come out great, but it was better than the 58 others! I love the one in the center and the moon with the dandelions is completely inspired! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos of the supermoon. I forgot all about it. I love the one with you "holding" the moon. And the dandelion ones!
ReplyDeleteWonderful evening you had!! I especially liked your dandelions! We had the supermoon in Finland, too, it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteAmazing and interesting photos/mosaic of the moon.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. I got very excited about seeing this, but all we saw were clouds :(
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. We had clouds, so did not see it:(
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful. I love a big bright moon!!
ReplyDeleteI like the photo collection, what fun!
ReplyDeleteYour Super Moon images are fabulous. I particularly liked the image of you framing the moon in your hands. We saw it and were awed. I got some photos, but none as wonderful as yours.
ReplyDeleteYael
fantastic moon shots! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful moon shots and I see that you got a little creative too...fun~
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed a super moon, and your photos are lovely. We have an demilune window above a bay window in our bedroom, and it looked like the Supermoon was coming right into our bedroom. I called the boys up to see it, and they agreed that it looked so close and large. Really neat.
ReplyDeleteIt has been so overcast here that we have not been able to enjoy it *sadface*
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos, Grace! I was out looking the moon that night, too - and was amazed at how bright it was! Just beautiful!!
