I'm joining in on Ricki Jill's Happy List this week. It's just a regular old week for me, but it is always good to take stock and count your blessings, so here goes:
1. I love seeing the signs of spring despite the cold temperatures (it's been snowing a little every now and then for the past few days). These little spring flowers showing their faces in our garden, despite the cold weather, definitely make me happy.
2. We visited Malcolm and Christie on the weekend for a walk and Easter dinner. And we Skyped Kate the next day as she is still away at university. Kate sent me some photos of the cupcakes she and her friends made from the goodies I sent in the Turquoise Easter care package (which you can see here). It makes me happy to catch up with the younguns.
3. It always makes me happy to have a four day work week so having two in a row (due to Good Friday and Easter Monday) makes me double happy.
4. Snacks make me inordinately ridiculously happy. I actually think I have an unhealthy obsession with our family's recent healthy snack food (you can find the recipe here). And of course I have a complete obsession with Easter chocolate that I have been enjoying.
What's making you happy these days?

Oh spring flowers...they would make me happy too! We are supposed to get snow in Alberta tonight - blech!
ReplyDeleteI love your Spring Flowers. Mine are just coming up. The pictures you saw on my post are from last Summer. They are just little green buds poking through the ground right now.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Spring Flowers, you captured them perfectly! Sounds like you all had a lovely Easter!
ReplyDeleteYour spring flowers are simply stunning, I love spring too and the flowers just light up everything...everyone is making the best looking food...I am trying to diet, sure is hard seeing all this yummy food...
ReplyDeleteOh, I keep missing this Happy List party. I would say that I am happy that there was less snow in my yard when we returned yesterday!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe link. :D We snack way too much around here....
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the spring flowers from your garden. What are they? They look like irises, but I'm not sure.
I think a turquoise Easter care package is a smashing idea. I know that Kate and her college friends enjoyed creating their treats. Skype makes me happy! Yay for Skype! WHen does Kate finish? Shanley Belle finishes this semester the first week of May.
Thanks so much for linking up to My Happy List!
xo,
Ricki Jill
The cupcakes are really cute. I especially like the little frown one. It was a nice treat having the two four day weeks, especially with so many staff and students with flu and colds.
