We have quite a collection of pysanky, or Ukranian Easter eggs, that we have made over the years.
I love them!
I love the colours, the patterns, and the fact that they don't look terrible given that they are actually pretty difficult to make.
(full disclosure - the light blue egg on the right is a painted wooden egg, not a pysanky)
May your heart and home be blessed this Easter.

You made all of those but the blue one? That's some talent (and a steady hand)! I love them displayed in that long bowl. That's a beautiful centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteGrace, these are VERY impressive and I love the trough they're displayed in as well. A happy easter to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThey are very beautiful and you are very creative! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteThe eggs are beautiful. The colours are striking. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteThese eggs are fantastic, well done! I've tried egg painting but I've never managed these results.

Love Love the eggs! Have a happy Easter weeekend
ReplyDeleteLove your eggs ... I took a class once to make one. It's very time consuming and by the time I got it home all the colours had run together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Grace, these are so beautiful, colorful, and intricate!!

Okay Grace, so I know you read my blog today because you commented . . . then I came over here and it threw me into a state of depression! As you read, I am not the best Easter Egg designer. Your eggs are absolutely beautiful! You could sell those things! Seriously fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic. I would love to learn how to do that. I'm sitting here jealous as I look at the pictures :)
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely beautiful! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI love Ukranian Easter eggs.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous!!! have a happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteWow, Grace, these are gorgeous! I also like how you have displayed them -- you can appreciate the details of each and every one...
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you, also :)
xo,
Sarah
your collection is absolutely amazing!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty eggs... whereas people give them to me you made your own. And that's just amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're very talented. I quite like the way you've displayed yours in that wooden trough.
Thanks for your feedback on my rooms and the drapery question. I actually thought of trimming out the bottoms as a solution too, however I think I'd like to try something new.
And lastly oh yes, since you mentioned it...I love my mani... I find it hard to sit still for the hour it takes but when done it's always worth it. At some point a few years back after continually breaking my nails on the job I opted for the gel solution. It's the ultimate fix.
cheers,
Happy Easter
Susan
. I remember learning about them in grade school... and tried making them... but it didn't work and spilled something on the book and we had to replace it. I can remember my dad had to leave work early to go to a special store. I have even the past have bought the wax holder to make them but now I have no idea where it is. I want to bring it out again. Love them as your center piece. The earthiness of the eggs is so complimented by the wooden trough. I love the whole look. Dottie
