I sew fancy dress up costumes for my girls and I hang them on doors so we can see them rather than shoving them in the closet.

In my oldest daughter's room, there is a wall which has my baptism dress, my Mom's baptism dress, two special dresses from when I was little, and one little cardigan hanging on nails on the wall interspersed with family photos that I worked up to look old and then put in old cardboard folder frames that old photos come in. I hot glued ribbon to the folders to use as a hanger. I put buttons on the ends of all the nails that I hung all this stuff on.

I did this long before she was born - it is now rather interspersed with her own taste so it wouldn't look as 'classy' if I photographed it now but I don't have the heart to take it down.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03418200517338216765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575237890797665624.post-90514686476743136422010-02-07T22:05:52.666-05:002010-02-07T22:05:52.666-05:00Wanderluster, I bet Chloe's dresses would look...Wanderluster, I bet Chloe's dresses would look sweet hung up on display - you will just have to wait a few years though. She won't let me put a bow in her hair or anything.Grace @ Sense and Simplicityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14185222544452668586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575237890797665624.post-7820876883644617882010-02-04T21:41:22.107-05:002010-02-04T21:41:22.107-05:00I also saved a few special things and they are han...I also saved a few special things and they are hanging in a spare closet, waiting for what I'm not sure. Your idea of displaying them is a great one! I miss being able to dress my daughter up too, although at 22 now, she's quite the fashionista so now she does the dressing up herself.

Kat :)Low Tide High Stylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11494078916477622322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575237890797665624.post-53506314584339579492010-02-04T03:30:41.750-05:002010-02-04T03:30:41.750-05:00So sweet! For about 5 years, I have worked in a fine children's boutique, and there is nothing and I mean NOTHING cuter than teensy dresses, shirts, skirts, etc. hanging up. And why not? These ones that you have saved are so adorable :)Sarah Klassenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10929770496186549808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575237890797665624.post-86797245448644424242010-02-03T22:36:41.481-05:002010-02-03T22:36:41.481-05:00I don't have kids (yet) but I think this is su...I don't have kids (yet) but I think this is such a cute idea! Even though your daughter is almost full grown, you can still reminisce by sneaking a peak at her little dresses (which are adorable by the way). I also love the closet photos - what a great idea!Sarah @ Dream In Domestichttp://www.dreamindomestic.comnoreply@blogger.com
